The challenge is on! Join us for this year’s sports extravaganza: The Alumni vs Students Sports Day and Coventry University Community Games on Saturday, 28th April 2012.

Alumni vs Students Sports Day: There will be Cricket, Women's and Men's Football, Rugby, Women's and Men's Hockey, Tennis, Badminton, and Netball! The majority of the matches will take place at Westwood Heath. Netball will take place the Sports Centre, Tennis and Badminton at Warwickshire Health and Racquets Club.

Alumni tickets cost £10 per person and include a coach service during the day between the City Centre and the venues, your Alumni Team t-shirt and a buffet in the evening.

Tickets will have to be bought in advance by 11th April and are available from the University's onlineshop or the Alumni Office 024 76888589.

CUSU Community Games: CUSU’s Community Games is a student led event, with a combination of sport, arts and culture in celebration of Coventry being a host city of the London 2012 Games. All ages are welcome, from toddlers to grandparents, there will be something for everyone, so bring your family!

On Saturday 28th April 2012, the University Square will transform into a festival of cultural diversity, food, sport, music and dance, for everyone to experience their own Olympic and Paralympic movement!

At 12:00pm - The Community Games will be opened by former Olympic champion, David Moorcroft and others (tbc) to a a variety of Olympic and Paralympic Sports. There will be interactive food demonstrations and tasters, music, entertainment and dance from around the globe, bringing the world to your doorstep.

In the evening there will be a closing ceremony and presentation of certificates with a 2016 Olympic hopeful, finishing with a ‘dance-off’ between a student and community based group.
